Or IPTV with 100k movies, every sporting event, every movie channel, etc. for 25 bucks, lol. The service I use is no shite faster than direct TV when flipping through channels.

If you are with an IPTV then I’m curious to why you still have a streaming service like YouTube tv? I thought IPTV was basically a streaming service

Yeah, I don’t bother with any other services. I would cancel Disney+ and Netflix too because the service has everything, but my kid likes the apps.

If you have fast internet, this is better than virtually every service out there, YouTube, Cox, Direct TV included.

Get the right set up and you can DVR too. I use mine as a DVR all the time.

How is the user interface with IPTV? How would I go about setting it up?

ETA: I had KODI back in the day

I noticed that it was getting more difficult to find channels that hadn’t been pulled on Kodi. I’d use Sub-Zero and then Sub-Zero would go down so on and so forth.

What’s changed with IPTV? Is it more stable these days?

Mine hasn't had any outages since the bust

i think most providers are not very liberal with letting people subscribe.

probably not as many re sellers either since the bust

usually when people have a shitty service its probably from a crappy reseller who doesn't know how to run servers and network infrastructure.

My service is better than direct tv, no shite. The guide is better than cox, and the service, if done right, offers everything contour does. It’s a DVR, fabulous guide, Video on demand, and every sporting event known to man, with every movie channel to boot. Contact the guy. His email is in the cord cutting thread.

I use Emby which supports live IPTV with an excellent guide and built in DVR. I have a new provider that is more pricey but you get as good of EPG data as you can get with IPTV.

So Emby runs every single media thing I want. My movies, tv shows, live tv, and even music are all under one roof and it's as easy as switching a tab to choose what I want. Plus I share it with some friends and family. Win, win, win, win.

I can even share my IPTV with whoever I want. I can choose who gets access to what service.

Is anyone sharing family plans with friends/family that don't live with them? Trying to decide how much a pain the location restriction will be.

I signed up with AT&t tv this week. $110 a month with internet. Pretty awesome streaming of live tv and tons of on demand available. Unfortunately two year contract which goes up about $40 A month after a year

and that's where they lost me.

That and a bunch of fees not inially listed that made the bill much higher then the advertised number. Sports broadcast fee
