This is a very, very simple DIY project. Mount antenna, run coax, tie into the TV. Are you wanting to split it to multiple rooms? Since you mentioned attic, how is that set up? Can you drill a hole and run a cable between the studs you want to?

Assuming that "cutting the cord" means you at one point used cable, you shouldn't need to run any wiring. Just plug the antenna into the coax line in the attic that fed the lines for your cable boxes or tvs.

Yeah not to sound like a dick but any man above the age of 12 should be able to do it

Eh, says its a commercial building. Maybe he doesn't want to do it. Maybe it's expensed. Maybe he has a bad back, bad knee, overweight, old, disabled, lost a limb serving our country (support the troops), etc.

He asked for a person to install not a lecture about how he can do it himself.

Agree, I’m 70 with a bad knee and a bit out of shape. If there’s people who do these things I’d like to know as well. Don’t go high and mighty on us. Your time is coming some day.

It's easy to do unless you have some undisclosed issues. Hang the antenna, drill it to the wall or stud, or mount some other way. Attach coax and run to the tv. If multiple tvs then use a splitter.

Changing the oil is easy too. But if someone asks me, “where’s a good place to get an oil changed?” I’m not going to respond, “dude you can do that yourself.” It’s just not the question and disrespectful, to be honest. To respond less condescending, you can address with a Company that does and go “by the way, to save money it’s super easy to DIY if you are feeling up to it.”

I did it all myself too and use an antenna in an attic. You can easily go to YouTube and get a walkthrough. But that wasn’t the OPs question.

It would probably be better to just find a local handyman. Anyone else may be considered a specialist and would charge a higher rate.

re: Someone to install attic antenna, TV
Mine was super easy to set up. 4 foot RCA I mounted on a stud in the attic. Ran a plug off of one in the room next to the attic to plug an amplifier in. The mounting bracket had a “swivel” to it so once mounted I could go about 160 degrees. All the TV stations in Bham are downtown so I pointed it that way. Had it hooked directly to a TV on the other side of the attic wall so I scanned until I got all my locals. Took maybe 45 minutes to do it all. That was about 5-6 years ago and it has been great the whole time. Had to rescan a few times when one channel updates their antenna.

Sounds like he has more money than time, and wants no headaches, I would pay what it takes to get a professional that has workman’s comp, and professional liability insurance. One of the large home theater installation companies should be able to handle.

Sounds like lots of people here claim they can do it in a snap, but no one is offering a price quote for the job. If it’s so easy, they should be cheap.

then maybe he should have structured his post better rather that sounding demanding.

it reads like Spalding Smails, "I want a hamburger... no, cheeseburger. I want a hot dog. I want a milkshake. I want potato chips. I want..."

im glad some people responded like the judge, "You'll get nothing, and like it!"
