on 2/6/23 at 11:19 am to Toptigerfan86From what I remember when Steele was at LSU, the defense was definitely better than the previous year, but it wasn’t particularly special either. With the talent Bama has, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Steele put out a strong defense, or at least somewhat improve what they had last year.

Alabama will still be better due to better players in general. Auburn didn't have that kind of roster to begin with. How the heck did Alabama won championships with retread coordinators?

He’s a Notre Dame alum. Would you rather coach at Missouri or Boise state?
That seems like a similar parallel for moving from ND to Bama.
