Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead announced Thursday that Tommy Stevens has been named the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback for the 2019 season.

Stevens, a graduate transfer from Penn State, beat out junior Keytaon Thompson for the starting job.

Mississippi State opens up the season against Louisiana at 11 a.m. next Saturday on ESPNU.
